 Keith Wibel, CFA – President

Keith Wibel, CFA, along with his wife, founded Foothills Asset Management, Ltd. in 1995. Keith is responsible for managing the research and investment process of the firm. He designed and developed the proprietary quantitative model that is used in the firm’s investment research. Keith began his career as a stockbroker in 1980 with E.F.Hutton. He joined Northern Trust Bank of Arizona in 1987 where he served as a Vice President of Trust Investments and was directly responsible for managing more than $200 million in client assets. His experience includes managing assets for individuals, trusts, corporations, charitable organizations and retirement plans. Keith earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1990. He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University and has studied at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Michigan. An active member of the community, Keith serves as an advisor to Arizona State University’s Student Investment Management Funds; is a member of the board and serves on the investment committee of the Northern Arizona University Foundation; and is past president of the Phoenix CFA Society.

 Florence Wibel – Chief Financial Officer
|
As Chief Financial Officer, Florence Wibel is responsible for the oversight of all financial and accounting operations for the firm. Blending her considerable business skills with those of her husband, Keith, she helped establish the firm in 1995. Florence earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, in anthropology and her MBA from Arizona State University and began her career as a financial analyst in 1985 with Motorola Computer Systems. She also has experience with not-for-profit organizations, having worked for the University of Michigan Medical School and Arizona State University. In addition to her responsibilities with Foothills Asset Management, she devotes significant time to her synagogue, serving on the board of directors and as a resource to the accounting office.

 Kris Lumsden, IACCPsm - Chief Compliance Officer Director of Operations
|
As Chief Compliance Officer, Kris Lumsden directs the compliance program, ensuring that it conforms to SEC regulatory requirements, industry best practices and the firm’s policies and procedures. Kris also serves as Director of Operations, supervising administrative and operational processes designed to provide the highest level of client support. Prior to beginning her career in the investment advisory business, Kris was senior paralegal in estate planning, taxation, trust administration and probate practices for law firms in El Paso, Texas, Cincinnati, Ohio and Scottsdale, Arizona. She was among the first group of graduates from the National Regulatory Services’ (NRS) compliance certification program earning the designation of Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional. Kris is a summa cum laude graduate of the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio earning her BA in paralegal studies.

 Nathan Erickson, CFA - Portfolio Manager

As a portfolio manager, Nathan assists in the research and investment process of the firm, and is responsible for the day-to-day management of client accounts. He has a diverse background in the investment industry, having spent time in commercial real estate as a loan analyst and in investment brokerage with Charles Schwab. While completing a Masters degree in Finance at the University of Sydney, Australia, he also worked as an equity analyst for Kaplan Funds Management, a Sydney based firm with $2 billion in client assets. He received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kenyon College in Ohio and is a native of Alberta, Canada. Nathan is a member of the CFA Institute and the Phoenix CFA Society.

 Debbie Downing – Compliance and Client Services Associate
|
Debbie serves as the firm’s Client Services Administrator. She has a passion for delivering a high level of personalized service to clients in addition to assisting with back-office operations. Debbie is originally from the State of Washington where she was a partner in a successful aviation business. The firm provided aerial surveys of marine mammals for various state and federal agencies as well as aerial reconnaissance used to fight forest fires. Debbie holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Washington State University and post baccalaureate certification as a paralegal. Prior to joining Foothills Asset Management she worked in the Arizona State Attorney General’s Office. She has also worked in law firms in Washington and Arizona.
