Keith Wibel, CFA®
Keith and his wife Florence founded Foothills Asset Management in 1995. Keith is responsible for managing the research and investment process of the firm. He designed and developed the proprietary quantitative model that is used in the firm's investment research.
Keith began his career as a stockbroker in 1980 with E.F. Hutton. He joined Northern Trust Bank of Arizona in 1987 where he served as a Vice President of Trust Investments and was directly responsible for managing more than $200 million in client assets. His experience includes managing assets for individuals, trusts, corporations, charitable organizations and retirement plans.
Keith earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1990. He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University and has studied at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Michigan. An active member of the community, Keith serves as an advisor to Arizona State University's Student Investment Management Funds; serves as a special advisor to the Investment Committee of the Northern Arizona University Foundation; and is past president of the Phoenix CFA Society.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Florence is responsible for the oversight of all financial and accounting operations. After earning her undergraduate degree, cum laude, and her MBA from Arizona State University, she began her career as a financial analyst in 1985 with Motorola Computer Systems. She also has experience with not-for-profit organizations, having worked for the University of Michigan Medical School and Arizona State University. Blending her considerable business skills with those of her husband, Keith, she helped establish Foothills Asset Management in 1995. In addition to her responsibilities with the firm, Florence devotes significant time to her synagogue. She served as VP of Finance for four years, and is currently on the Board of Directors of the local chapter of Women's League for Conservative Judaism.
Client Services Administrator
At Foothills we're all about client service. Consequently, Debbie's job is a critical one and she is very good at it. Debbie excels at providing our clients with personalized attention. When she isn't attending to those needs, Debbie also performs back-office operations.
Debbie is originally from the State of Washington where she was a partner in a successful aviation business. The firm provided aerial surveys of marine mammals for various state and federal agencies as well as aerial reconnaissance used to fight forest fires.
Debbie holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Washington State University and post baccalaureate certification as a paralegal. Prior to joining Foothills Asset Management she worked in the Arizona State Attorney General's Office. She has also worked in law firms in Washington and Arizona.
As a Research Analyst, Gwen is responsible for identifying, collecting and analyzing data used in the valuation of securities we purchase for clients' portfolios. She also closely monitors earnings announcements and other news developments that are related to securities we own or are evaluating. In addition, she serves as our trader.
Gwen is a seasoned professional in the investment industry. Prior to joining the Foothills team, she served as a Brokerage Service Associate and Client Relationship Specialist with The Vanguard Group. She also worked as an Assistant Syndicate Manager for Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. in New York and as the Investment Administrator with Legacy Bank in Scottsdale.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Gwen holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania.
